Pathological Theater and the Rut Foundation present “The Comedy Divine” in Naples, the new show signed by Dario D’Ambrosi

“The Divine Comedy”, a mix of emotions with the girls and boys of the Pathological Theatre.
The Rut Foundation and the Pathological Theater Association have chosen to cooperate to represent “The Divine Comedy” in Naples, which will be staged at the Theater Trianon Viviani of Forcella on 23 and 24 September 2023.

The stable company of the Teatro Patologico, founded and directed by Dario D’Ambrosi, is made up of actresses and actors with mental disabilities, and thanks to the commitment of the Rut Foundation and the many energies and intelligences who have joined the project, after having walked the most prestigious stages in the world, he performs for the first time in Naples with the premiere of the new show by Teatro Patologico: The Divine Comedy. A project strongly desired by the Rut Foundation, in the wake of the path launched at the Nisida juvenile penal institute in June 2022, with the aim of bringing to Naples not only a moment of beauty and spectacle, but also the opportunity for collective reflection and participatory on issues related to mental health.

The initiative is sponsored by: UNESCO, Campania Region, Municipality of Naples, Metropolitan City of Naples, National Research Council, Foundation with the South, and has received the support of the Naples Industrial Union, Comin & Partners, of CARPISA, of the Inner Wheel Club of Napoli Reale, of IZI SpA Economic Analysis and Evaluation Methods and of IN Location.
The Divine Comedy tells of a universal journey, one that starts from the stories and experiences of the actresses and actors of the company, with their suffering and pathologies, who encounter Dante’s characters, first going through the hell of solitude and marginalization until to the saving encounter with a welcoming community, the paradise of people who don’t look the other way.

The event was presented at the PAN – Palazzo delle Arti in Naples on 13 September in the presence of the Director of the theater company Dario D’Ambrosi. The presentation conference also saw the participation of our President Clelia Piperno, the Councilor for Social Policies of the Municipality of Naples, Luca Trapanese, the Vice President of Unione Industriali Napoli and Vice President of Pianoforte Holding (Carpisa-Yamamay), Carlo Palmieri and is was moderated by the journalist and television author, Domenico Iannacone who dedicated several documentaries to the experience of the Pathological Theatre.
Dario D'Ambrosi, founder and director of the Pathological Theatre: «The Pathological Theatre, through a unique and original work of theatre-therapy, has become an Italian spearhead in the world, because for years now with its activities, shows and events has started a real revolution of integration in the world of mental and physical disabilities."
The appointment is scheduled for Saturday 23 September at 9.00 pm or alternatively Sunday 24 September at 5.00 pm at the Trianon Viviani Theatre. Tickets can be purchased on the online platform ETES.IT.
